Arctic forever changed by rapidly warming climate – UN weather agency
The United Nations weather agency has released data that indicates a warming climate and increasing temperatures twofold across the Arctic and impacting human and ocean ecosystems. According to the Arctic Report Card, once frozen regions of the Arctic will likely never return to a frozen state. According to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration(NOAA), temperatures for the majority of 2017 are reported as the third warmest on record. Since the 1970’s, rising global temperatures are trending upward causing significant socio-economic damage.
